A soothing hot drink where you can meet a palm-sized seal. This menu is offered at "companio," a cafe on the sea in Monbetsu, a "town of drift ice" facing the Sea of Okhotsk in the east of Hokkaido. Monbetsu is also famous as a town where seals come to visit, and is home to Japan's only seal sanctuary, the Okhotsk Tokkuri Center, and the Seal Sea Paradise, which keeps three largha seals.

Companio is a café with a spectacular view on the third floor of Okhotsk Tower, which faces 360 degrees to the Sea of Okhotsk in Monbetsu. In winter, you can enjoy their signature coffee and waffles along with a spectacular view of the drift ice.
