Tarumae Garo is located in the western part of Tomakomai. It was a hot summer this year, but this place offered a refreshing escape on an early summer morning, blowing all the heat away.

I believe this was taken in the morning at Mikuni Pass in the Tokachi area of Hokkaido. The climate here is harsh, and it's a place where a sea of clouds often forms. I had a feeling one might appear, so I drove from Nukabira while it was still dark to see it. It felt like a dream for a long, long time.
