We are pleased to bring you an exciting announcement from the Pecorella Schoolhouse in Yakumo-cho, Hokkaido. This facility is a former Ozeki Elementary School that has been renovated for fun and lodging, and is used as a campsite and coworking space. This time, we are introducing a special program to experience life in Yakumo-cho and work at the campsite during Golden Week. For those who dream of living in the countryside or are interested in local revitalization, this is an opportunity not to be missed!

What are the activities?

During the period from April 22 to May 6, 2024, participants will help with campsite operations such as tent setup, cleanup, and cleaning, as well as support sauna operations such as chopping firewood. In addition, they may also provide support for special experience content, such as making baumkuchen over an open fire, and attend hands-on tourism activities in town, such as agricultural experiences.

The number of applicants is three, and a selection process may take place if there are many applicants. Mr. Fujitani of Pecorella Gakusha says, "We would like to encourage people who are interested in immigrating to Hokkaido, revitalizing the local community, or who like camping and sauna to apply, as this is an opportunity not only to support our work but also to live in Yakumo Town and experience life in the countryside.

Transportation is provided & lodging and sauna are free of charge!

The conditions are unbeatable! Participants will receive round-trip transportation (up to 10,000 yen) and food assistance (equivalent to 500 yen per day). In addition, accommodation is free and you can even use the sauna for free. This is a rare opportunity to experience country life surrounded by nature while working.
