We have some exciting news from Pecorera Gakusha in Yakumo, Hokkaido. This facility, a renovated former elementary school, is a place for fun and lodging, used as a campground and co-working space. This time, we're introducing a special program to experience life in Yakumo and work at the campground during Golden Week. This is an unmissable chance for those who dream of living in the countryside or are interested in regional revitalization!

What are the activities?

During the period from April 22 to May 6, 2024, participants will help with campground operations such as setting up and taking down tents, and cleaning. They will also support sauna operations, including chopping firewood. Furthermore, there may be opportunities to assist with special experience-based content like making Baumkuchen over a bonfire, and to guide agricultural experiences and other hands-on tourism activities in the town.

The program is recruiting three people, and a selection process may be conducted if there are many applicants. Mr. Fujitani from Pecorera Gakusha says, "We want this to be an opportunity not just to support our work, but for participants to experience life in Yakumo and the countryside. We would love for people interested in moving to Hokkaido, regional revitalization, or those who love camping and saunas to apply."

Transportation Subsidized & Accommodation and Sauna are Free!

As for the terms, they are incredible! Participants will receive a round-trip transportation subsidy (up to 10,000 yen) and a meal allowance (equivalent to 500 yen per day). Furthermore, accommodation is free, and you can use the sauna for free as well. This is a rare opportunity to experience countryside living surrounded by nature while working.
