Where'd you get it wrong? Ario Sapporo dispels rumors with "I'm not closing campaign" and details of participating stores in "Bread Fest" featuring 12 popular bakeries.
Rumors started from "Ito-Yokado's withdrawal from Hokkaido".
Ario Sapporo in Higashi-ku, Sapporo
The reason why the rumor of Ario Sapporo's closure was triggered by Ito-Yokado's withdrawal from Hokkaido. To begin with, Ario is a complex developed by Ito-Yokado, but last February 2024, Ito-Yokado announced its withdrawal from Hokkaido. Ito-Yokado as a general supermarket has also decided to close its four Sapporo stores, along with the Obihiro and Kitami stores.
Ito-Yokado Ario Sapporo
Ito-Yokado Ario Sapporo, the core store of Ario Sapporo, is scheduled to close in March 2025. The children's section on the second floor and the clothing and bedding section on the third floor have already closed. However, Ario Sapporo itself will remain open, and a supermarket, Daiichi, is scheduled to open in March 2025 on the site of Ito-Yokado's food sales area.
New stores such as "Workman Girls" and events such as "Bread Fest" will follow.

As if to dispel the rumors that have been created along the way, on April 26, the first day of the "We won't close" campaign, several new stores will open, including the first "Workman Girls" casual wear store in Hokkaido and a capsule toy specialty store.

New MUJI store to open in summer 2024
