Dot Doto is a collective of freelance local players based in the Doto (Eastern Hokkaido) region of Hokkaido. In June 2020, they published ".doto," an unofficial guidebook to the region, created in collaboration with numerous creators and friends from both within and outside Hokkaido. The project garnered significant attention for its engaging process and rich content, with a total of over 10,000 copies printed to date.

Now, Dot Doto has launched a new initiative called "#WorkInDoto" (#道東ではたらく).

This project matches businesses that want to start something new but lack the personnel with students and professionals who want to gain practical experience in Doto and other regional areas. The creators from Dot Doto will also provide support to help solve challenges along the way.

Currently, they are recruiting interns for the "Let's Create a Town Newsletter Packed with the Deep Charms of Shihoro!" project in Shihoro Town, in collaboration with at LOCAL Inc., a company aiming to create "the most needed roadside station by its townspeople." This initiative involves uncovering the charms of Shihoro Town while interacting with its residents, making it a perfect opportunity for those interested in community development and promoting local attractions.
