Why was this cow in such a place? A slightly surreal photo of a cow, taken at a farm in Hokkaido, has gone viral on social media, receiving over 140,000 likes.

Heard a rustling sound, thought someone was here, and found the escapee.

Peeking out from the tall grass is... an escaped cow?! The photo was posted by Yoshida-san, who runs a dairy and livestock farm. On that day, the cows were out in the exercise yard near the barn. While working on the back of a truck, Yoshida-san heard a rustling sound. Looking in the direction of the noise, they made eye contact with this "escaped cow."

The post received a huge response on social media, with comments like, "It has a 'whoops, I've been found' look on its face," "This looks like an Impressionist painting," and "I live for posts like this."

The Accidental Escapee: What Happened Next?

Yoshida-san went to the barn to get a rope to catch her, but the "escaped cow" simply trotted along right behind. She then returned to her own spot inside the barn and started eating. She was a perfectly fine, curious, and well-behaved girl!

The Many Daily Adventures of the Cows

Yoshida-san, who runs the farm with their family, shares the daily life of the farm on YouTube and other social media.

They told me I couldn't park because there was a Lamborghini in the garage. I went to check, and it was the real deal.

The death stares I get from everyone when I put in grass that doesn't taste good.

You're telling me I can't get through because of this...?

Since this post got a lot of attention, I also posted a YouTube Shorts video. These days, more farms are producing things like A2 milk, and dairy farmers are always coming up with new ways to provide delicious milk for everyone.

You can find milk with unique characteristics from different regions.
I really hope people will try various kinds of milk from supermarkets, roadside stations (michi-no-eki), and online stores.

On the YouTube channel, you can not only see the heartwarming daily lives of the cows but also get a glimpse into the little-known world of dairy farming. Be sure to check out the daily struggles and joys of Yoshida-san, surrounded by their beloved cows.

Special thanks to: Yoshida-san
