He is a local revitalization volunteer in Morimachi, located near Hakodate, Hokkaido. He is the successor to the Dounan Sugi Canoe technique and was the first winner of the Local Revitalization Cooperation Volunteer Crowdfunding Award. He is skilled in creating local spaces and wood education, making use of his practical experience in downstream forestry such as architectural design and woodworking. He runs the town-run woodworking facility "iroMori" and the local community space "Yamaumi Base" that he created with his friends in Morimachi, while working towards a "town without a university, where there are university students 365 days a year."
Mountain climbing is also recommended!
Special "place": Mt. Komagatake

A beautiful mountain in southern Hokkaido shaped like a horse's back, with an elevation of 1,131m. It features twin peaks formed by volcanic eruptions, and the impression of the mountain changes drastically depending on where you view it from! Come and find your own "my Komagatake"!

Special "food": Village Bakery Komagatake

This bakery is located at the foot of Mt. Komagatake and lives with animals. It is only open on weekends, so there is always a line, and every bite is delicious. Of course, you can take some bread home and eat it, but climbing Mt. Komagatake and eating it at the summit is something special!

The best souvenir: Yamanakashi

Located within walking distance of Mori Station, this baked goods shop is open only on weekends. Their "Financiers" are made with carefully selected ingredients and are very popular with people of all ages! The shop also has several other types of sweets, such as sables, which are recommended as souvenirs or gifts.
