The person who posted the photo is Tani, a businessman in the Kanto region. He is fascinated by the scenery of Hokkaido and travels to Hokkaido for about a week every winter, taking photos of the scenery all over the prefecture.

He is particularly fond of the hilly areas of Biei, as well as the Notsuke Peninsula and Shunkunitai in eastern Hokkaido, and says that these are areas he always visits when he goes to Hokkaido.
