Lake Shikaribetsu Kotan in Shikaoi Town
"Lake Shikaribetsu Kotan" is a phantom village built on a frozen lake for only 60 days. "Kotan" means "village" in the Ainu language.
All the buildings in the village are made only of ice and snow from the lake. There's even an open-air bath on the lake, and various activities to enjoy in winter!

The phantom village, "Lake Shikaribetsu Kotan," appears for only 60 days from the end of January when the temperature drops and the lake completely freezes over.
The bar, stage, chapel, and lodges are all made of ice and snow, and there's even an open-air bath on the frozen lake! I definitely want to visit next year!
