The Ezo kuroten, or Hokkaido sable, is an animal native to the forests of Hokkaido, known for its round, innocent eyes and adorable face. A "ridiculously cute photo" of one of these sables peeking its head out from a hole in a tree has been gaining attention on social media.

A little sable was looking at me from a tree hollow, and we made eye contact. I can't believe I got to see these innocent eyes!
