"The Ezo squirrel's leap is beautiful" - A shot from a low angle, capturing an "Ezo squirrel's-eye view"

Were Ezo deer running around? The tracks in the snowfield also make for a very Hokkaido-like picture.

This photograph was taken by GON, a wildlife photographer. To capture the moment the Ezo squirrel's paw pads were visible, GON made a conscious effort to shoot from the lowest possible angle. This technique resulted in a dynamic and lively photo.

Regarding the photo, GON says, "I chose this one because I felt the Ezo squirrel's leaping form was beautiful. Its serious gaze and slightly chubby face were adorably charming."
