「ちょうど名残り惜しく思ってたところです。」とウィットに飛んだ返しをしたら、無視されてお食事券渡された。無事帰ってきました
When their flight was delayed by over an hour, the poster was met with a polite apology from the airport staff. At that moment, a phrase slipped out: "I was just thinking how sad I was to leave." What was intended as a witty comeback, inspired by the lingering magic of their Hokkaido trip, was met with... complete silence. The poster described the feeling of "Oh no, what have I done..." However, they were then given a meal voucher as an apology and safely made their way home.
The post garnered over 50,000 likes, with users commenting, "I'm getting second-hand embarrassment," "Giving you a meal voucher is amazing service," and "Glad you made it back safely."
Poster, who plans to move to Hokkaido this spring, says, "I want to boast about Hokkaido's charms."

The poster, noob_tanks, is from the Kanto region and this was their first visit to Hokkaido. When asked about their impressions, they said, "The scenery of the empty fields left a deep impression on me." Perhaps being surrounded by such vast landscapes made them feel more open and uninhibited. It might have been this unique Hokkaido atmosphere that prompted that particular comment.
And now, the poster is planning to move to Hokkaido this spring.
"I can't contain my excitement at the thought of living amidst the scenery that moved me so much. In the future, I want to boast about Hokkaido's charms to my friends in Kanto as a resident."
This slightly embarrassing memory will surely become a funny story to tell in their new life in Hokkaido. Perhaps these casual interactions and feelings from a trip are part of what makes Hokkaido so charming.
