Spring in Hokkaido begins to show its colors as the snow melts. Amidst this landscape of blooming flowers, a "miraculous shot" that looks like a scene straight out of a storybook has become a hot topic. The photo captures an Ezo squirrel so adorable it's simply captivating.

The photo shows an Ezo squirrel peeking out from a soft spring landscape blanketed in blue and purple flowers. Standing there with its tiny body, its gaze fixed on the camera, it looks just like a character from a picture book.

"Like a character from a fairytale world"

The innocent expression of the Ezo squirrel is incredibly charming.

This photograph was taken in Hokkaido by hirokirin_photography. They said it was the perfect time, with the flowers in full bloom and a soft light filtering through. "The Ezo squirrel, standing so delicately, looked like a character straight out of a fairytale. It was such a beautiful and lovely scene that I found myself captivated, even through the viewfinder," they recall.

On the same day, they also encountered a mother squirrel moving her babies.

Furthermore, on that same day, they encountered another memorable scene: a mother squirrel carrying her newborn baby, in the process of moving to a new nest.

"In contrast to the adorable squirrel among the flowers, the sight of the mother, single-mindedly and desperately carrying her child without a glance at the flowers, deeply moved me. It made me feel the preciousness of life and the bond between parent and child," hirokirin_photography shared.

Cuteness, beauty, and the powerful force of life. As the snow-covered ground slowly regains its color, spring in Hokkaido arrives. It is in this brief yet precious season that one can witness such unforgettable scenes.
