Enjoy Hokkaido in summer by bicycle! A compilation of recommended cycling events for this summer!
Why don't you ride a bicycle through the vast land of Hokkaido, blessed with nature and beautiful scenery? You will surely encounter new landscapes along the way as you feel the refreshing breeze. Today, we would like to introduce you to some of the cycling events that will be held this summer!
Free bicycle rentals are available for guests staying at designated accommodations. Surrounded by Kushiro Marshland, Tsurui Village offers the chance to see many wild animals such as red-crowned cranes and foxes. The tour is held over a long period of time, so you can enjoy a different aspect of the village depending on the season.
You can participate in a stamp rally where you can win delicious local products while exercising by cycling. There are about 40 checkpoints, so you may come across spots you never knew existed!
Departing at 7:00 a.m., the tour will visit tourist attractions such as Asahiyama Kinen Park and Sapporo Fushimi Inari Shrine. In Asahiyama Kinen Park, you can have breakfast while enjoying the view of Sapporo cityscape. In addition, a guide will accompany you! Of course, breakfast, bicycles, and helmets are included in the plan, so even those from outside the city can easily participate.
This cycling event is held at the same time as walking. The course is safe for beginners of sports cycling, so even elementary school students can participate. After the cycling, a special healthy lunch "Karada Meshi" is prepared, so you can enjoy exercising in a fun and tasty way.
