Takino Suzuran Hillside Park is the only national park in Hokkaido, boasting a large site area of approximately 395.7 hectares despite its location in Sapporo City. Blessed with abundant nature, the park has various areas, including the central zone with the Children's Valley full of playground equipment and the country garden with flower gardens, the mountain stream zone with the Ashiribetsu Falls, and the Takino Forest zone where visitors can experience the natural forest.
This time, we would like to introduce "Auto Resort Takino" located in the central zone. It is popular among families as a place where camping can be easily enjoyed.
Auto Resort Takino was established in 1994. It has received the highest five-star rating from the Japan Auto Camping Association as a comfortable and safe place to enjoy auto camping. Located about 20 km from the center of Sapporo, it is just the right distance for families with small children or for those who want to relax a little on weekends.
The facility is divided into several camp sites (plots) according to the user's style. There are camper sites for standard cars and camping trailers, standard car sites for cars plus tents, free tent sites where you can pitch your tent anywhere you like, and doggy pet sites where you can enjoy taking your pets.
There are also several log cabins built, which you may want to consider as an alternative to campers and tents. There are comfortable spaces with terraces and lofts. There are also several types of log cabins to choose from, depending on the number of people using the cabin and your preferences.
Other facilities available at Auto Resort Takino include shower rooms and coin-operated laundries, for example.
