塩狩峠記念館周辺や｢長野政雄氏殉職の地｣石碑においてアイスキャンドルが点灯されます。2月28日は小説｢塩狩峠｣のモデルとなった長野政雄氏が、逆走する客車を自らの身を投じて止め、多くの乗客の命を救い殉職された日にあたります。合わせて塩狩峠記念館の特別開館を予定しております。
