AOAO SAPPORO will hold a special exhibition on the theme of "The Mystery of Courtship Behavior in Living Creatures" to coincide with the time when the penguins on display move from courtship to breeding season. From 10:00 to 19:00, the exhibition will focus on "love among living creatures," and from 19:00 to 22:00, the exhibition "Aquarium of Love at Night" will consider "human love" in addition to living creatures. AOAO SAPPORO, which is involved in the health management and breeding of penguins and fish on a daily basis, was inspired by the courtship picture book "ACT OF LOVE ~Love is an action.~" and has focused on the courtship behavior of various living creatures, adding its own unique arrangements to the exhibition, allowing visitors to experience the mysteries of courtship behavior in living creatures.

■Exhibition Details
During the daytime exhibition, videos and panels will be used to introduce the courtship behavior, breeding season, and reproductive behavior of the creatures kept in the aquarium. In addition, the two species of penguins kept at AOAO SAPPORO (the northern rockhopper penguin and the fairy penguin) will use drawings and explanations to reveal the secrets of the exhibits designed to foster love.

After 7:00pm, there will be night-only exhibits for adults, such as a "Courtship Diagnosis" that applies human expressions of love to the creatures at AOAO SAPPORO, and a "Courtship Test" that teaches courtship methods through observing creatures. This is a step-up exhibit that allows you to experience your own love alone, or the nature of each other's love with a partner, all while thrillingly confirming and rediscovering it in the night aquarium.

The bakery and bar "Shirokuma Bakery &" located inside the building will transform into "Love Bakery & Bar" in the evenings, offering "love" themed cocktails and seasonal parfaits, as well as a monthly live music event "AOAO NIGHT" with a "love" theme. In addition, the "Museum Marche" shop at the entrance will sell goods that will make you want to wear matching outfits with your partner.

Since its opening on July 20, 2023, AOAO SAPPORO has strived to be an ever-evolving aquarium where visitors can make new discoveries with every visit, such as expanding the shop at the 4th floor entrance, renovating the "LIBRARY AQUARIUM" on the 5th floor, which is lined with aquariums and books, and the "GREEN ROOM" on the 6th floor, which is home to tropical plants and fairy penguins.

In addition, the contents of the special exhibitions, seasonal events, experience programs, and evening food and drink menus change frequently, and we will continue to challenge ourselves as a "variable museum" that provides new surprises and enjoyment no matter how many times you visit. ■ Only available at night! About the seasonal finishing parfait "White Illumination Parfait"
Only available from 5:00pm onwards, Sapporo's famous Shime Parfait will be available, with a motif of the Sapporo White Illuminations that you walk through with your special partner. The sparkle of the illuminations is expressed with jelly and gold leaf, while the white and fluffy nature of snow is expressed with cream and cotton candy. The taste is a refreshing balance of the freshness of citrus fruits and yogurt, and the sweetness of Hokkaido milk ice cream and white chocolate.
