An exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the TV animation "Heidi, Girl of the Alps," a milestone in the animation world that began airing in 1974 and has been loved across generations and borders, is being held at the Daimaru Sapporo Store.

The exhibition will feature the deep fascination of the nature and rich culture of Switzerland (the Alps) where Heidi lives, the life story of the original author Johanna Spyri, introduction of the original book, and behind-the-scenes production of the TV animation "Heidi, Girl of the Alps" produced by Isao Takahata, Hayao Miyazaki, Yoichi Odabe and other staff members. The film is accompanied by detailed explanations using valuable materials from the time.

There will also be a panel exhibition featuring famous scenes that brought tears to everyone's eyes, a special exhibition of original drawings by Yoichi Odabe, and a corner with nostalgic items all in one place. In addition, there is a special exhibition of original paintings by Yoichi Odabe, as well as an area featuring a collection of nostalgic items.

The sales area attached to the event site will feature a full lineup of popular items including limited-edition items and items commemorating the 50th anniversary of the TV program, as well as other popular items from Haiji, Yuki, Josef, and other characters.
