On the first day, the reception will start at 8:45 and the tour will end around 17:00. On the other days, the tour will start from 10:00-16:00.
In the spring, you can observe sheep being sheared, in early summer the wool will be washed and dyed with natural dyes, and in the autumn the spun yarn will be woven.
Six days of learning wool crafts that will add warmth and color to your life.
Why not make your own wool mat filled with the bounty of Hokkaido's land?
On the first day, with the cooperation of Ecorin Village (Eniwa City), the participants will have a special opportunity to observe the wool shearing and receive a lecture on wool. Afterwards, they will actually wash a small amount of wool and learn how yarn is made.
You can see the hair-cutting process, which you don't usually get to see!

From the second day, you can wash the raw wool in the Art Forest, dye it to your desired color, spin it, and make a pile weaving mat.

[Event Details]
On Saturday, May 17th, please come to the craft studio counter between 8:30 and 8:45 and pay your course fee.
After that, all participants will board a bus and be taken to Ecorin Village, scheduled to depart at 9:00.
After the first day's seminar, all participants will board the bus and arrive at Sapporo Art Park around 5:00 p.m., where they will then disband.
*The dismissal time may vary slightly depending on traffic conditions, etc. Please make sure you leave plenty of time.

The basic course is six days, but we also offer a four-day course that includes observing sheep shearing and spinning yarn, as well as a two-day course that focuses only on mat making.
Furthermore, the 4-day course fee (17,000 yen) + 2-day course fee (10,000 yen) would normally be 27,000 yen, but the 6-day course is a 5,000 yen discount, making it 22,000 yen!
Even if you are attending for the first time, the instructor will provide a gentle and thorough explanation, so please take advantage of this opportunity to participate.
What to bring: Clothes that are easy to move in and can handle temperature changes, shoes that are easy to move in, an apron, rubber gloves, and lunch
