Artistic Glass Creatures Exhibition - "Shapes of Life" Created by a Master
Date and Time
2025/4/15~8/25
9:00-17:00 (last entry 16:30)
Open all year round
Glass artists who were born and raised on the islands of Laguna, surrounded by the sea, live in an environment that is closely connected to the sea and nature, and often carefully observe various creatures to get ideas for their creations. In addition, traditional Venetian glassware with decorative stems has long used motifs such as dolphins and swans, enhancing the decorativeness of glass.
This exhibition will bring together a variety of "artistic glass creatures" created with excellent design and advanced technology.
The vibrant works of Pino Signoretto, whose bold, delicate and innovative style astonishes viewers, the adorable creatures created by the two great masters of Venetian glass, Archimede Seguso and Alfredo Barbini, the small and delicate birds and insects of the master of lampwork, Vittorio Costantini, the works of the VENINI and Salviati workshops, which have elevated unique motifs to a modern style, and the small creatures elegantly arranged on gorgeous and richly decorated glass.
Glass gives the impression of being hard and cold, but perhaps in the process of creating their works, the artists saw the sparkle of burning life in the soft glass at high temperatures of over 1000 degrees.
Please enjoy the "shapes of life" that masters have created by breathing life into glass, including delicate and intricate works that appear to be truly alive, and adorable, humorous, deformed pieces.
