The festival will be filled with a variety of events, including the Doshin Summer Fireworks Festival to mark the opening of the festival, the Citizens Dance Parade in which about 2,000 locals dance to the tune of the Asahikawa Tourist Song, the solemn and massive Daisetsu Rengo Mikoshi procession, the Rekka Tanabata Festival in which floats and dancers parade, the Daisetsu Sanroku Festival with its street stalls lined with about 50 stores, and the spectacular and dynamic Yosakoi Soran Night and Disco Night.
