The festival will be filled with a variety of events, including the Doshin Summer Fireworks Festival to mark the opening, the Citizens Dance Parade in which about 2,000 locals dance to the Asahikawa Tourist Song, the solemn and massive Daisetsu Rengo Mikoshi procession, the Rekka Tanabata Festival in which floats and dance troupes parade, and more.
