"Machi Akari Illumination," held every year in front of Asahikawa Station, will celebrate its 30th anniversary in the 2025 fiscal year. From this winter, "Asahikawa Machi Akari Illumination," which has been familiar until now, will renew its name and be reborn as an event that more people can enjoy. This year, raising a new concept called "Captivating with Light: Asahikawa's Pride and Future," it will vividly color the snow-covered, severely cold Asahikawa city center.

For visiting people, unforgettable "winter memories" and "places of emotional support" will overlap, and we hope that they will be passed down within warm relationships, transcending generations, as winter memories of Asahikawa. In order to cherish "the way light should be" rooted in Asahikawa's rich nature, history, and culture, by layering stories and scenery onto each and every light, visitors can enjoy a space where they can quietly perceive its charm.
