The Ice Waterfall Festival is held in Sounkyo Onsen, Kamikawa Town, Hokkaido, where ice art is created in the cold. Now in its 51st year, the festival transforms the winter night into a fantastical space adorned with ice sculptures and lights. There are plenty of attractions to see, including around 30 ice sculptures of various sizes, a 13-meter-tall observation deck, an ice tunnel, an ice dome, Ice Waterfall Shrine, and a tube slide.

At night, the ice sculptures are lit up in seven colors, and the light objects floating in the frigid night sky invite visitors into a world of fantasy. In addition, fireworks are launched every night, vividly lighting up the night sky and creating an impressive spectacle in the clear winter air.
