Overview

Every year, many people visit Cape Nosappu on New Year's Day to watch the first sunrise of the year at the easternmost point of the mainland. As a welcoming event, our association distributes commemorative votive plaques and performs the local performing art of "Nemuro Taiko."

■ Distribution of commemorative votive plaques: 5:30-7:30
They will be distributed at the Nemuro City Northern Territories Museum (Location: 33 Nosappu, Nemuro City).
*The number of commemorative ema is limited and will end when they are gone.
Local performing art "Nemuro Taiko": 6:20
Performance of the local folk art "Nemuro Taiko" (outdoors in front of the Kitakatakan)
