Nemuro City, the easternmost point of mainland Japan, faces the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Okhotsk. Famous as a major fishery hub, it boasts Japan's top catch of Pacific saury and exquisite Hanasaki crabs. Food festivals celebrating these delicacies attract many visitors. From Cape Nosappu, the Northern Territories can be seen up close.
