The new project, "Winter Fun at Daisetsu Dam," has been adopted by the Japan Tourism Agency as part of its "Regional Tourism Promotion Project." The normally inaccessible lake surface of Daisetsu Dam will be opened to the public. There will be winter activities that can only be enjoyed here, such as a guided "Unexplored Nature Cruise" on a snowmobile-pulled raft, and one of Japan's largest "Canyon Sliders (Snow Tubing)," which utilizes the vast snowfields.
