To communicate the charm of animals and the role that zoos play, the Zodiac Exhibition is held every year around the New Year, featuring an exhibit themed around the animal that will be the zodiac sign for the following year.

■Panel Exhibition
・Period: Thursday, December 11th to Tuesday, January 13th, 2026
Location: The posters will be displayed in two locations: in front of the zebras inside the Hippopotamus and Lion House, and in the Beaver Forest at the Children's Zoo.
*The location of the quiz will change during the quiz period. It is planned to be installed in various locations within the zodiac. In honor of the horse, the zodiac sign for 2026, there will be a panel exhibition about the ecology of horses and the horses kept at the zodiac. Learn more about the horse, the zodiac sign!

■ Gacha
・Period: Thursday, December 11th to Tuesday, January 13th
Location: In front of the zebras in the Hippopotamus and Lion House
Introducing the exclusive keychain gacha exclusive to the Zodiac Exhibition! 500 yen per play (only 500 yen coins accepted). 5 types in total. Includes a fortune slip!

◆ Play booth
・Period: Thursday, December 11th to Tuesday, January 13th
Location: Giraffe House, 2nd floor
・Horse History Sugoroku: Travel back in time and embark on a journey to explore the evolutionary path of horses and humans!
・Coloring book: Take a good look at the zebra and color it! What does it look like?
・Footprints: We took a print of a Shetland pony's foot at the Children's Zoo! How many claws does it have? What shape is it? You don't normally get to see the inside of a horse's foot... Take a look at it in full!

■Photo shoot with horses and exclusive guided tour
・Dates: December 13th (Sat) and December 26th (Fri) 13:30~
・Location: Children's Zoo
Numbered tickets will be distributed at the Zoological Science Museum general information desk from 12:30 (first 15 groups per day).
It's New Year's! Let's take a photo with the horse, the zodiac sign for 2026! After taking your photo, you'll receive a special guided tour from a zookeeper! If you learn more about horses, your luck is sure to improve!

■ New Year's Ema (votive plaques) distribution
・Period: January 1st (Thursday) to January 3rd (Saturday)
Location: First Rest House
*300 tickets will be distributed on the first day, 250 on the second day, and 200 on the third day on a first-come, first-served basis from opening time (9:30am)!

■ Welcome from the horses and their caretakers
・Dates: January 10th (Sat) and January 11th (Sun) 10:00~ (30 minutes)
Location: Main gate
The zookeepers will welcome the New Year at the main gate together with the horses! Come and observe the horse, the zodiac sign for 2026, up close!

■Quiz Stamp Rally
・Period: Saturday, January 10th to Tuesday, January 13th
Location: Various locations within the park
Look at the panels located throughout the park, answer the quiz questions and get a stamp! If you answer all the questions, you can bring your answer sheet to the Zoological Science Museum general reception desk and you might even win a prize...
