"Do the timbres of the trumpet and oboe go well together?"
Right now, you are probably looking at this page while thinking just that, aren't you?
The "trumpet, a brass instrument," and the "oboe, a woodwind instrument," are a combination of instruments where the mechanism for producing sound, the timbre, and the volume are all completely different.
Your question is surely one that other people who have seen this page are also bound to have.
In June 2024, our 1st Duo Recital.
The surveys we received from the audience after the performance were filled with many comments from people who, surprisingly (?), enjoyed the resonance created by this combination of instruments, saying things like, "I was surprised at how well they matched, more than I imagined," and "The timbres of the trumpet, oboe, and piano blended together and resonated throughout the venue."
By all means, won't you also come and hear this mysterious combination?
This 3rd trio recital will feature numerous famous pieces that adorn the stories of various movies. We will deliver familiar pieces from masterpiece films that you have seen or heard somewhere, with 7 types of instruments: oboe, oboe d'amore, English horn, trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, and piano. Please look forward to hearing what these well-known pieces will sound like with this ensemble.
