EVENT
The 40th Jozankei Onsen Keiryu Koinobori
Date and Time
2026/4/10~5/10
Always
Celebrating its 40th year in 2026, the 'Keiryu Koinobori' is a spring tradition in Jozankei. During the period from April, when lingering snow can be seen on the mountains, to early May, when we celebrate Tango no Sekku (Children's Day) and the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, and mid-May, which welcomes the fresh greenery of 'Harumomiji' (Spring Foliage), approximately 400 koinobori (carp streamers) dance in the sky above the onsen town.
The koinobori used are those that are no longer needed by families in Hokkaido but are filled with precious memories.
You can enjoy spring by watching the colorful koinobori swimming in the sky.
