Since the 1851 Great Exhibition in London, expositions have been held in various places against the backdrop of imperialism and industrial promotion, and the Ainu people have been involved in various ways. While their experiences involved diverse thoughts and choices, there were also aspects accompanied by conflict. This exhibition focuses on the Ainu people who participated as performers and exhibitors, the people involved in mediation, and the relationship between the viewers and the viewed, tracing the 150-year history of expositions.
