My first exhibition in Sapporo.
I will be exhibiting original picture book illustrations from the past and new works.
From the snow country of Niigata to the snow country of Hokkaido, I will open a deep forest of thread (ito).

◎Regarding the Exhibition

This exhibition began when a friend introduced my embroidered picture books to Esquisse.

I only do a rough sketch, and then I stitch just as I feel.
I draw only what I am feeling now, with thread on cloth.
It is a feeling like wandering into a deep, deep forest of thread (ito) that exists inside of myself.

The embroidered works and original picture book illustrations depicting the four seasons, which are the origin of my creations. And, the embroidered works that trace my inner feelings, which I am currently working on.
Right now, they are connecting as one inside of me, while being quietly chaotic.
I would be happy if you could enjoy that very fluctuation, all brought together in this exhibition.

Lastly, on the interview site "nazeka" of the friend who connected me to this exhibition,
an interview article about me as an embroidery artist has been featured over a period of six months.
I would be grateful if those who have time could also take a look at this to see what I was thinking while creating my works.
