Born in 1960 in Asahikawa, Hokkaido.
He paints casual yet impressive works that are "like a scene from everyday life, and also like a page from some story," using soft colors, light effects, and simplified forms.
What I always think about when I paint is that if I can reach the bottom of my own heart,
and if I can paint in that place, then the painting will surely reach the hearts of others.
