"Japanese-style lights" enveloped in tranquility and sacredness are created with chochin (paper lanterns) and andon (paper-covered lamps) at various locations throughout the hot spring town. At the main venue, Jozankei Shrine, you can have a special nighttime viewing experience, exclusive to overnight guests, amidst a mystical fog. Goshuin (shrine stamps) and omamori (charms) limited to the event period will also be on sale.
