Toshinobu Ishikawa ISHIKAWA TOSHINOBU

Born in Ishikari in 1968
Began creating copperplate prints while studying at Hokkaido University of Education, Iwamizawa Campus.
With the theme 'What was seen is what could be seen,' he creates spatial compositions that are left to the viewer's impression.
Recently, he has been creating calligraphic and pictorial works applying the plate-making process, and 'Live Paint Printing,' where body paint is printed.
Also involved in stage design, managing the multi-purpose brick hall ArtWarm, and planning concerts.
Member of the Hokkaido Print Association and the Douten (Hokkaido Art Association).
