Solos and accompaniment, all by oboes!
A slightly unusual concert where the tones of three types of oboes intertwine!

'An ensemble concert, yet it's called "Enjoying Solos"? What could that mean?' You are probably looking at this page thinking just that.

In this performance, we will present "concertos" and "solo pieces," which are originally performed with an orchestra or piano, accompanied by an oboe ensemble.

Oboe, oboe d'amore, English horn...
You can enjoy the individuality and charm of these three instruments through solo pieces where each takes the leading role.

Welcoming Mr. Hiromasa Iwasaki, former principal oboe player of the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra, we will perform T. Albinoni's "Oboe Concerto in D minor, Op. 9-2".
We will deliver this in a special arrangement where Mr. Iwasaki's beautiful oboe tone is colored by the oboe ensemble and Ms. Tomoko Maeda's electric harpsichord.
Please enjoy this special performance, for this night only.
