Overview

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's Hokkaido Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, in co-sponsorship with the Ministry of the Environment's Hokkaido Regional Environment Office and Sapporo City, is recruiting participants for a bus tour for parents and children to visit recycling plants. On this tour, you can deepen your understanding of how everyday products are recycled after use, including through hands-on programs. Additionally, the content is suitable for use as a theme for your child's summer vacation independent research project.

<Places to Visit>
① Nakanuma Resources Sorting Center (Sapporo City) -> A recycling plant for "bottles, cans, and PET bottles" collected from within Sapporo City
② Hokkaido Eco-Recycle Systems Co., Ltd. (Tomakomai City) -> A recycling plant for home appliances covered by the Home Appliance Recycling Law (air conditioners, TVs, refrigerators/freezers, and washing machines/clothes dryers)
*An experience of dismantling an LCD TV is planned.
