On the first day, the opening ceremony will be held at Riverain Park Asahikawa, and starting with a performance by the Japan Self-Defense Forces 2nd Band, YOSAKOI Soran and taiko drum performances will liven up the venue, and in the evening, the spectacular "Doshin Cool Evening Fireworks Display" will captivate the audience. From the second day onwards, the city of Asahikawa will be filled with excitement with events such as the "Citizens' Dance Parade" where about 2,000 citizens dance through the streets, the "Taisetsu Rengo Mikoshi" where portable shrines parade through the town, and the "Rekka Tanabata Festival."

Furthermore, at the "Sanroku Festival," held mainly in "Sanroku Gai," Hokkaido's second-largest entertainment district, many restaurants and bars will set up stalls. Various events will be held on a special stage, and the town will be bustling until late at night.
In recent years, new events such as "Disco Night" and a collaboration between YOSAKOI and the Tanabata Festival have been introduced, and the festival continues to evolve into one that can be enjoyed by both participants and spectators.
