Overview

Tens of thousands of lavender plants bloom proudly, embracing the Hill of the Buddha. Please enjoy the unique Lavender Festival of Takino Cemetery. A special moment at the beginning of summer. The fragrance of full bloom is 'waiting for you'.

■Promenade 'Kaze Kaoru Inori no Michi' (Path of Fragrant Wind and Prayer): This is the only period when you can see the face of the Hill of the Buddha up close. Please come with your whole family.
・Date & Time: July 1st (Wed) - 20th (Mon, Holiday) 9:00-16:00
・Fee: 500 yen for junior high school students and older (free for elementary school students and younger)

■Lavender Picking Experience: You can pick the lavender from the Hill of the Buddha and take it home. Staff will guide you on-site about the picking location and method.
※ As the growth is earlier than usual, it may be canceled depending on the conditions of the day.
※ It may be canceled in case of rain.
・Date & Time: July 18th (Sat) - 20th (Mon, Holiday) 9:00-15:00
・Fee: 500 yen (per session)

■Takino Hana Marche Special Event
・Date & Time: July 1st (Wed) - 20th (Mon, Holiday) 9:00-16:00

■Lavender Soft Serve Ice Cream: Special lavender soft serve ice cream from Missu House, a popular ice cream specialty shop that Sapporo is proud of. It is sold at the Rotunda Cafe & Store and Hyakunen Eiju.
