I am a third generation fisherman in Hiroo Town, Tokachi, Hokkaido, Japan, counting from my grandfather. In the past, the fishery caught salmon, trout, squid, and crabs, but due to declining resources, disasters, and rising raw material prices, they are now engaged in community activities while catching kelp and whelk along the coast.
