Humming Road, South Street Shopping Street
Overview
Humming Road, the face of Shiranui Town, was selected as one of the 50 best spring and summer editions of the "Hokkaido Town Development 100" in 1988, and was designated as the first "excellent advertising landscape district" in Japan in 1991.
This shopping street is divided into three streets, "San Francisco Avenue," "London Avenue," and "Bonn Avenue," lined with stores unified by Western-style architecture.
Every September, this street hosts "Coming Paradise" with about 70 stalls, attracting numerous visitors from all over.
