Imosegucho Curling Hall
Curling is becoming increasingly popular as a winter sport, and many people must have seen it played on TV, partly due to the success of Hokkaido teams. Curling is also called "chess on ice" because of the technique of throwing stones to the target position and the strategic nature of the game. It is a sport unique to northern Japan, where hot brain games are played on the ice.
In the 1980's, the "Imosegyo Curling Association" was established in Imosegyo Town to promote mutual trust and friendship among the town's residents. In 2003, the long-awaited "Imosegashi-cho Curling Hall," a dedicated facility, was completed. It is now a popular sport in the town with many members ranging from elementary school students to senior citizens. Why don't you come and try it in Seosegi-cho?
