SPOT
Mosegushi-cho Local History Museum
Mosegushi-cho Local History Museum was built in 1931 as the village office. The symmetrical design of the office and the meeting hall is highly regarded as a building in the tradition of the French design of the Meiji period, and was restored to its original appearance when the new building was completed in 1985. Inside the building, approximately 600 valuable materials from the pioneer period to the present are preserved and exhibited.
The town of Imosegyo, which was pioneered in 1893, celebrated the 100th anniversary of its foundation in 1992, and is now embarking on a new path. We hope that the history of our town, which has achieved great development through the blood-soaked efforts and indomitable pioneering spirit of many predecessors, will be carefully preserved and used as a guide to the future and as a place to foster love for our hometown for a long time to come.
