Urausu Shrine
This is a historic shrine with a monument commemorating the development of Urausu Town. Development of the town began in 1892, and in 1898, when the population increased and there was a growing movement to separate the village from Tsukigata Village, Tomonari Jutaro donated 9.9 hectares of land and cultivation began in August of the same year. The shrine was completed in 1910.
Today, the temple grounds are covered with a carpet of Corydalis ambiguis and Dogtooth Violets, and charming wild animals such as wild birds and squirrels roam the grounds, making it a popular hidden spot for amateur and professional photographers all year round.
