Kamuito Swamp
This swamp, which means "swamp where the gods live" in the Ainu language, is surrounded by virgin forest that tells of events over the ages, and is cloaked in tranquility and mystery.
When the time of year comes, the swamp is filled with flowers, including irises and plovers, and the water is amber-colored as the plant life seeps out of the swamp.

*The Kamuito Swamp boardwalk has been closed to visitors since July 31, 2017 due to deterioration and damage. The village will not be responsible for any injuries or accidents caused by entry.
