Overview
The Sarufutsu River, which runs through the village, is a nationally famous river that is home to a large number of Itou, the symbol of the village. It is an attractive fishing point for anglers.

Itou is the symbol of Sarufutsu Village and a valuable asset. We ask for your cooperation in the following matters so that you can enjoy fishing for itou forever.
1 Please catch and release the fish as much as possible without affecting the fish body.
2 Please take your garbage with you to preserve the fishing grounds.
3 Please do not enter private property (pasture land) or drive vehicles on it without permission.
4 Please refrain from fishing in the spawning area during the spawning season (April 1 to May 20).
5 Refrain from fishing at night because of the danger involved.
