The "Tower of Wind and Snow" was constructed in Showa 59 (1984) to commemorate the fact that, in dairy farming, which is this village's core industry, raw milk production volume throughout the entire village annually surpassed 20,000 tons, and the average per household surpassed 200 tons.
The building, which evokes a foreign atmosphere, has become a symbolic presence of Sarufutsu Park, and for visiting people, it has become an ideal commemorative photo spot.
