This is a vast urban park named 'Oniushi,' an Ainu word that is also the origin of the town's name. Located along the national highway, it is an ideal rest stop for drivers. From the adjacent Roadside Station 'YOU・Yū・Mori,' you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the entire park and the magnificent Mount Koma-ga-take, and on clear days, you can see as far as Uchiura Bay, as well as Mount Yotei and Mount Usu. The park contains unique playground equipment and a lawn area, and during the flower season, approximately 500 cherry blossom trees delight visitors.
