SPOT
This scenic spot was selected as one of the 100 most scenic spots in Japan in 1950. The Furano Basin and the Tokachi Mountain Range can be seen from the top of the mountain, and 3,000 cherry trees can be enjoyed in spring. Local residents call it "Namako-yama," or "sea cucumber mountain," and it is well known to them. Asahigaoka Comprehensive Urban Park is also adjacent, with a park golf course and athletic facilities.
