Furano Theatre Factory
Opened in October 2000, Furano Theatre Factory is the first publicly owned and privately operated theater in Japan. Furano Theatre Factory, the nation's first certified private non-profit corporation, is a volunteer organization entrusted with the management of the theater.
The theater was built with the deep involvement of Satoshi Kuramoto, a Furano-based writer known for his "Kita no Kuni Kara" ("From the North"), and in addition to its uniqueness as a building, it is a theater space that takes the creators of performing arts into consideration.
During the performance period, the museum will also sell original products such as scenarios from the play and open a coffee shop corner.
