Furano City Museum

Materials concerning Furano City's nature, history, folklore, and culture are divided into eight exhibition corners: 'Nature of Furano,' 'Dawn of Furano,' 'Pioneering of Furano,' 'Rich Forests and Industry,' 'Life in the Northern Country,' 'Furano's Taisho and Showa Eras,' 'Progress of Education,' and 'Post-war Progress,' and are exhibited.
 Furthermore, in 'Furano Forest Classroom,' there are exhibitions concerning the city's familiar natural environment and observation points, and also an exhibition corner concerning the late Professor Nobukiyo Takahashi, former University of Tokyo Hokkaido University Forest Director, who was beloved by the nickname 'Professor Mud Turtle.'
 Also, at the museum, starting with the holding of special exhibitions, lectures concerning Furano's nature and history, speaking events, observation meetings, study tours, etc., it is also implementing projects such as material collection and research.
